Welcome to the Spiti Valley Expedition, a 7-day adventure through the breathtaking Himalayan highlands of Himachal Pradesh. Nestled between Tibet and India, Spiti—meaning “The Middle Land”—is a desert mountain valley that feels like a different planet altogether. Raw, rugged, and stunningly beautiful, this tour takes you deep into ancient Buddhist culture, majestic mountain passes, glacial rivers, and surreal landscapes.
The journey begins in Chandigarh, the gateway to the Himalayas, moving toward Shimla, the iconic British summer capital, and then deeper into the enchanting Sangla Valley and Chitkul, India’s last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibetan border. From here, we head into the otherworldly landscape of Tabo and Kaza, Spiti’s spiritual and administrative heart. Monasteries more than 1000 years old, blue skies, and silence make this region pure bliss for nature lovers, photographers, and spiritual seekers.
Your expedition will reach its mystical peak at Chandratal Lake, a sparkling crescent-shaped alpine lake at 14,000 feet, surrounded by Himalayan giants. You’ll then journey through Manali, a favorite hill station, to wind down and conclude your adventure before returning to Chandigarh.
This itinerary is a combination of off-beat exploration, luxury stays in remote villages, locally inspired cuisine, and expert guidance, making it perfect for solo travelers, couples, photographers, and families with an adventurous spirit.
