ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

Arrive in the capital city of Kathmandu, meet your representative and transfer to the hotel. Whilst the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative will also hand over the “Welcome Folder” documents and brief you the tour programme. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu

After breakfast full day city tour of Kathmandu. Visit to Swaymabhunath (listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO): Atop a green hillock west of Kathmandu, stands the great stupa of Swaymabhunath; a site that is over 2500 years old marking the point where the legendary patriarch Manjushri discovered the lotus of the ancient valley lake. Constructed to specific rules each with a symbolic meaning, the stupa of Swaymabhunath is a model of its kind. Patan Durbar Square, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Patan Durbar Square has been acclaimed as one of the finest urban streetscapes in the world. Most of the monuments seen today were built between the 16th – 18th centuries. It is known as the centre of fine arts and for the superb craftsmanship of its artisans. Kathmandu Durbar Square, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is one of the popular places due to its exquisite architecture and artistic embellishment. This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built in 1200 to 1768 A.D. with hundreds of erotic carvings used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu which epitomizes the religions and cultural life of the people. Day 3: Kathmandu

After breakfast half day city tour of Kathmandu. Visit to Pashupatinath Temple, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO located on the banks of sacred Bagmati River, this temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world. The Large, gilded triple-roofed temple was built in 1696 A.D. Boudhnath, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This is the largest stupa in the world was built by the Lichchhavi King Mana Dev in the 5th century A.D. The Rinpoches who reside here have established Boudhnath as one of the most flourishing centres of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. The colossal ancient stupa is 36 metres high. Day 4: Kathmandu – Chitwan (160 Kilometres / 4 Hrs)

After breakfast, Morning drive by surface through the scenic mountainous region with Himalayan backdrop to Chitwan. A private car with an experienced driver makes the journey pleasant. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free for independent activities. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Chitwan National park is the last undisturbed vestiges of gangetic plains. This national park is a home to over 50 species of mammals, 55 species of amphibians and reptiles and 525 species of birds.

 

Day 5: Chitwan Jungle Safari

In the morning, go for an elephant back safari inside the Chitwan Jungle and spot the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, Himalayan sloth bear, spotted leopard and, if lucky, the elusive nocturnal Royal Bengal tiger too. Scrumptious breakfast will be waiting for us at the hotel. After breakfast, give a bath to the elephant. We will be scheduled for activities like bird watching, jungle walk, canoe ride to spot crocodiles etc. In the evening enjoy cultural dance presented by locals. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

 

Day 6: Chitwan – Lumbini (180 Kilometres / 5 Hrs)

Proceed with your journey towards Lumbini, a majestic pilgrimage site where Budhha was born. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. In the afternoon, visit the birth place Gautam Buddha, Maya Devi temple, which is now one of the UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Overnight stay in Lumbini.

 

Day 7: Lumbini – Tansen (90 Kilometres / 2 Hrs)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey for Tansen. Mount on the Mahabharata Range or Lesser Himalayas; it is where Tansen is located on the highway between Butwal and Pokhara. Arrive at your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Tansen.

 

Day 8: Tansen

Trek through this wonderful hill station and explore this nature’s dwelling on your own. You may also choose to hire a motorbike and jaunt the nearby villages. Overnight stay in Tansen.

 

Day 9: Tansen – Pokhara (130 Kilometres / 3 Hrs)

Post breakfast, drive to Pokhra Valley, a beatific town with magnificent lakes, offering bedazing panoramas of Himalyan peaks. En route, explore an astonishing waterfall on the highway, called Davi’s fall. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

 

Day 10: Pokhara

After a leisurely breakfast, proceed for Sarangkote hill, which is famed for stupefying aerial views of Pokhara valley. Also visit the old bazaar of Pokhara and the famous Bindhyabasini temple. Your evening is reserved for a boat ride on Phewa Lake. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

 

Day 11: Pokhara – Bandipur (80 Kilometres / 2 Hrs)

After breakfast drive to Bandipur. Enjoy walks in this scenically located heritage village and the surrounding hills. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight stay in Bandipur.

 

Day 12: Bandipur

On this day, you are free to explore the beautiful surroundings of the area on your own. Overnight stay in Bandipur

 

Day 13: Bandipur – Kathmandu

Check out from your hotel and drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. Spend the rest of the day in exploring the surroundings. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 14: Kathmandu- Onward destination

Transfer to the International airport in Kathmandu towards your onward destination with sweet memories.
