ITINERARY

Day 1: Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai meeting and assistance followed by transfer to hotel. Chennai is popular as the gateway to southern India, established in 1639 by the East India Company, is one of the oldest cities of the country. Assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Chennai - Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, half day sightseeing tour, visiting Gandhi Memorial, Kala Kshetra, Mylapore temple and Marine beach. Later drive to Mahabalipuram. Enroute visit Kanchipuram. On arrival Check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Mahabalipuram

After breakfast at hotel enjoy full day guided city tour including visit shore temple & Pallava Cave - The standing testimonial to the rock cut art, also visit Arjuna's Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and beach. Evening free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 4: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Pondicherry. On arrival check-in at hotel. Later half day city tour to Aurobindo Ashram, you will be transported to a world of bliss and peace. Here the day starts with meditation and visitors are allowed to take a look of Sri Aurobindo and his chief disciple Mother's room. You will also visit the Pondicherry Museum where among the artifacts you will see the discoveries of Arikamedu, Chola bronze items. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Pondicherry - Thanjavur

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Thanjavur. On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon we will visit Brihadeshwara Fort & Temple, which is a Chola architectural marvel. This is also listed in the world heritage. Also you will visit Thanjavur Palace & Museum, which houses a library, museum and art gallery. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6: Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Madurai. Enroute visit Trichy. Trichy was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English. Lord Robert Clive's house is still there to see and so is the Danish Church. The Rock-Fort is the landmark of Trichy. A climb of 434 steps leads to the ancient temple of Ganapati on top and a further climb to a Shiva temple. Later continue to Madurai. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Madurai - Periyar

After breakfast visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country side) visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the Indo saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes & arches. Later drive to Periyar. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8: Thekkady (Periyar) - Kumarakom

After Breakfast enjoy the boat ride in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to view the wildlife. The boat ride in the lake is delightful way of spotting Elephant and Avifauna, for which the park is well known. Afternoon drive to Kumarakom. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 9: Kumarkom - Alleppey

After breakfast visit Kumarakum bird Sanctuary. Later drive to Alleppey. Here transfer you to A/c deluxe Houseboat. Explore the Kerala's natural beauty backwaters beauty. House boat will take you to the virgin villages of Kerala to explore the real life of Kerala people. Overnight stay at House Boat.

Day 10: Alleppey - Cochin

After breakfast drive to Cochin. On arrival check in at hotel. Later in the afternoon proceed for city tour of Cochin visit to Fort Cochin, Santa Cruz Basilica, Dutch Palace at Mattancherry, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening visit to watch traditional Kathakkali dance show. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Cochin Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to airport to connect flight for onward destination.
